I’ve played World of Warcraft before, and many things have improved over the years. Things like a built in quest helper and vendor values on items really help make the game feel a little more polished. However, the in game crafting system is incredibly boring and leveling a crafting skill to max level is simply a matter of spending gold to buy the materials. The in game interface still has a lot of room for improvement. I used a couple of addons just to fix up my UI. I’ve never reached the max level in WoW and that is one of the reasons I wanted to come back to it. Having leveled a warlock to 80 and raiding for a bit I can safely say that I experienced everything it had to offer. (I PvPed a bit as well, but no arena)
Anyways, let me keep this short and sweet. I give World of Warcraft an 8/10.
These are the things that I liked:
- Endgame raiding, which is very intense and satisfying…after a while it can turn into a gear grind.
-Dungeon Finder. Works perfectly, groups me with other quickly.
-Questing to 80. This is fun. I can probably only level one character to max before I get bored. Some people never get bored of questing, it depends on your tastes.
-Gearing up. I like that new levels of gear make my character noticeably stronger.
-Socializing and raiding with my guild.
-Calendar which tells you when a raid or world event is going to occur. Very useful.
These are the things that I did not like:
-Having to grind for a month in order for my gear to be raid worthy.
-Having to grind the same heroic dungeons for emblems, it gets old.
-Having to google where my next questing zone is located.
-Having to grind for gold in order to buy materials to level my crafting.
-Finding out the tier ten vendor is INSIDE of a raid which makes him hard to access.
-Heroic dungeons feel way too easy unless you get a group of fresh level 80s.
