Asa nani wo nomimasu ka. What do you drink in the morning?
Asa nani wo tabemasu ka. What do you eat in the morning?
(Food) wo tabemasu. I/he/she/we eat food.
Subject does not conjugate with verb. No differentiation between present and future tenses.
Taberu is the dictionary form of tabemasu. Dictionary form is sometimes called short form.
Only two irregular verbs. Suru and Kuru.
Ru-Verbs have the ending “ru”. The letter right before the “ru” does not have vowels (a,o,u).
Conjugation is getting rid of “ru” and adding “masu” or “masen”
eg: taberu -> tabemasu
U-Verbs -> change the last letter’s vowels u to I and add masu or masen.
eg: nomu-> nomimasu kiku->kikimasu
